Miss me?? haha! Back from myanmar on a mission trip with my church youth group! It rocked big time! We could really see how fortunate we are in Singapore with proper jobs, homes and families. The people just sat on the road sides selling whatever they have and from there try to make a living. I really pity them. There was a day where we went to 2 orphanages where the kids were as young as a few months old to about 14? They all looked so happy to see some people visiting and playing with them. ohwell. Some of them were rather freaked out by me because of my braces. haha! When I smiled or grinned, all of them would just stare at me and start whispering to each other :) Am I that scary?? sniff sniff. Anyway, we just kept them company by teaching action songs and just entertaining them. yeh.. It was very comforting to see them all smile. We also helped to paint the dorm of the orphanage. It was really amusing because in the end, I looked like a total tribal woman with paint all over my face THANKS TO SOME PEOPLE. tsktsk. hahaha!
Didn't get to shop much as the whole team suddenly fell sick. It was quite obvious that it was food contamination of the restaurant we ate in the previous night. sigh. Luckily for me, I only got a headache but felt feverish nonetheless. Got to shop for only an hour or so at the nearby market for longees (a long skirt that myanmese girls wear) One for me and my mum. Just realized that I don't really know how to tie it. darn. okok.
Now I'm back in Singpore -finally after 9 days- checking my flooded email and hp. sigh. I miss myanmar already... sniff sniff. Anyway, gotta take a nice nap now.. didn't sleep the whole night yesterday! hah! take care! :)
